A leading confectionery company in Ferrara is seeking a Sanitation Technician responsible for managing sanitation procedures and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The role requires at least 2 years experience in the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage cleaning processes and chemical use. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.50 plus a shift differential, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and a 401(k).
The Sanitation Technician will plan, direct, and control daily and nightly cleaning activities to meet established standards. Position is responsible for following proper procedures to clean industrialized equipment, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and assisting in minimizing downtime. This position requires knowledge and awareness of manufacturing and industrial sites. Protective gear will be required where appropriate. Position requires ability to work varying start times, overtime and weekends dependent on business needs. Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
