Job summary

Edison Smart is seeking a Sales Manager for Italy and Slovenia (Lighting Controls). This field-based role will grow the business across Italy and Slovenia, working with the local partner network to get the brand specified early on projects.

The position is field-based and supported by central product, marketing and technical teams. You will build specification strategies with consultants, lighting designers and end users, run presentations and CPDs in Italian and English, and own revenue,

Qualifications

• Sales experience in lighting controls or related field.
• Track record in developing new business and managing partners or channels.
• Relationships with consultants, lighting designers and integrators in Italy.

The company

A long-established European manufacturer of intelligent lighting controls, active through partners in more than 50 countries. Its DALI-2, wireless and hybrid systems run offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, museums and data centres, and help buildings meet energy-efficiency targets.

The role

You will grow the business across Italy and Slovenia. You’ll work with the local partner network and get the brand specified early on projects. The role is field-based and independent, with central product, marketing and technical teams behind you.

What you’ll do

• Support and grow existing partners through business reviews, training and joint pursuit of must-win projects
• Build a specification strategy with consultants, lighting designers, architects and major end users
• Get the solution into projects at concept and design stage
• Run presentations, technical workshops and CPDs in Italian and English
• Own revenue, margin, pipeline and forecast for the region in Salesforce
• Represent the brand at events, trade fairs and industry associations

What you’ll bring

• Sales experience in lighting controls, lighting, building automation or smart buildings
• A track record in new business and in managing partners or channels
• Relationships with consultants, lighting designers and integrators in Italy
• Technical and commercial understanding of lighting control (DALI-2, wireless, IoT a plus)
• Italian and fluent English
• Disciplined CRM use and freedom to travel across Italy and Slovenia
