Retail Director - High-End Fashion

Our client, a prestigious name in the high-end fashion industry, is seeking an experienced Retail Director to lead one of its flagship stores in China. This is a unique opportunity to join an iconic luxury brand known for its craftsmanship, heritage, and exceptional customer experience.

The Retail Director will oversee a team of 12+ store staff, ensuring operational excellence, driving commercial performance, and elevating both the employee and client experience. We are seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in luxury or premium retail who can represent the brand with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a brand ambassador, inspiring passion, product knowledge, and service excellence.
  • Coach and develop the store team to consistently deliver an exceptional customer journey.
  • Implement customer‑focused behaviors and drive digital tools that enhance clienteling.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging loyalty and repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities to grow store performance through a commercial mindset.
  • Ensure the boutique environment reflects the brand’s luxury positioning at all times.
Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within fashion (luxury or premium preferred).
  • Strong team leadership capabilities with a track record of developing talent.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Commercially driven, customer‑oriented, and highly organized.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with digital clienteling tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface at multiple levels internally and externally.
