Overall objective of the job

Maintain and improve the local Quality and Food Safety programs aligned with global policies, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Participate in local Vendor and Customer Quality Programs aligned with global policies.

Manage Customer Complaints and drive performance improvement and compliance with Customer requirements.

Main Accountabilities / Outcomes
  • Manage local Quality and Food Safety programs aligned with global policy.
  • Support the maintenance of local quality and food safety documentation.
  • Maintain programs for quality, food safety, and food defense, including halal, kosher, and organic certifications.
  • Lead and perform internal audits and monthly food safety inspections.
  • Implement Quality and Food Safety Programs aligned with global policies.
  • Support the implementation of globally agreed quality and food safety system requirements from customers.
  • Support the implementation of new or updated global/regional policies.
  • Manage/support customer audits and improvement plans.
  • Manage/support regulatory audits and improvement plans.
  • Manage/support certification and program audits and improvement plans.
  • Handle Customer Complaints, provide responses, and escalate as needed.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer complaints performance.

  • Quality and Food Safety Systems Compliance (Certifications/FSSV score)
  • Customer Complaint rate
  • Internal non-conformance rate
Functional alignment

Member of the Site Local Quality team. Key stakeholders include Operations, Global/Regional Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, and Regulatory.

Required background / skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field with at least 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Management/Control.
  • Strong background in Quality and Food Safety Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, FDA requirements (PCQI), Food Defense. Lead/internal auditor experience. Kosher, HACCP Certification, or USDA.
  • Proficient in computer systems such as SAP, databases, and Microsoft Office.
