- Ubuntu Pro Services – Commercial offerings such as Ubuntu Pro, Compliance, Standards, Security Engineering, and Managed Services on cloud and on‑prem
- AI/ML & MLOps – Open‑source AI/ML solutions, AIOps automation, model lifecycle management, Kubeflow, MLFlow, KServe, and AI infrastructure on cloud and edge
- IoT – Ubuntu on embedded devices and/or edge servers, device management, and robotics

Role Responsibilities
- Lead the product development lifecycle and set a clear vision for your product.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing and sales.
- Align priorities, enable informed decisions, and keep business execution on track.
- Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
- Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Run usability testing, analyse user feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation and provide training in partnership with marketing, sales and support.
- Contribute to the sales team’s success by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.
- Oversee the work of a product line, ensuring consistency in strategy and execution across teams.
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within and across departments.
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic record at high school and university.
- Strong grasp of Linux and the wider open‑source community.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, cloud or devices.
- Passion for writing about technologies and the tech landscape.
- Strong work ethic and personal alignment with the open‑source movement.
- Curiosity and a habit of continuous learning.
- Strong sense of ownership.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to innovate.
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- For senior positions, product‑management experience in the software industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while focusing on key priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership in aligning diverse teams and driving consensus around product strategies.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events that may last up to two weeks.
Additional Skills That We Value
- Familiarity with specific verticals (e.g., telco, finance, industrial, automotive).
- Understanding of the technology ecosystem – silicon, IHV, ISV, OEM/ODM, cloud service providers and channel partners.
- Experience with cloud‑native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker containers and Snaps.
- Knowledge of embedded and connected device technology and ecosystems.
- Networking technologies – Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, routing, firewalling, overlays such as OVN/OVS, VPNs, SR‑IOV, InfiniBand.
- Telco networking – RAN, core, CPE.
- Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
- Track record of fostering collaboration and innovation in team settings.
