NTT DATA in Rome is seeking a motivated Network Engineer for our Managed Services team, supporting a major automotive client. You will handle daily onsite service, engage with the local team, and ensure SLA adherence.

The role requires solid networking knowledge, language skills in Italian and English, and a willingness to be on-call. You will work within an international environment, collaborating with global colleagues to deliver continuous service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Mansioni

NTT is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team, delivering a key strategic service for a major international client in the automotive industry.

The Network Engineer will be involved in service delivery activities related to the Italian site and will work closely with our global team to ensure the effective and continuous operation of the service, meeting agreed SLAs and contributing to a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing the local service from Monday to Friday and will be required to provide on-call support outside normal business hours to handle any incidents requiring immediate intervention at the customer site.

As Networking Engineer involved in this managed service NTT team , your main responsibilities will be:

• Daily Onsite Service;

• Standard Changes (AP, Switch, etc. add, move, uninstall) including configuration and handover to Operations;

• Local troubleshooting including configuration;

• Break & Fix support;

• Major Change support;

• Local spare parts management;

• Performance testing support;

• Performance tuning and optimization support;

• Equipment Configuration Cleaning and Hardening support;

• Backup / DR testing support;

• Reporting;

• Escalating unresolved issues to Central NOC.

To be successful in this role we require:

• Strong communication and customer service skills;

• Team working and collaborative approach;

• Eager to learn;

• Good understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP);

• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow);

• Ability to follow scripts and documented procedures;

• Confidence in troubleshooting of hardware/software;

• A minimum of experience in service delivery (6-12 months);

• Fluent in Italian;

• Able to work in international environment using English language (speaking and writing);

• Availability for on-call duty.
