Are you ready to shape and implement a global strategy for server platform services? Then we are looking for you as Manager Server Platform Services , a critical leadership role within Oerlikon’s global IT Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for managing virtualization, cloud, backup, and database services within a cloud-driven environment.

This position is located in Brugherio (MB).

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for server platforms, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
• You drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies in server infrastructure.
• You lead and mentor a global team of engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• You closely work together with external partners and service providers to combine external knowledge with internal needs, aiming to become a leading digital company.
• As part of our digital transformation, we currently have multiple ongoing corporate IT projects. Your experience, ideas, and knowledge are highly appreciated in these areas.

Your Profile

• You bring at least 10 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure management and engineering, with a focus on server platforms services (Virtualization, Cloud, Database, Backup).
• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• You have experience implementing cloud-based services, backup, and database technologies.
• Practical experience in programming is a plus, especially as we build solutions “as code”.
• You possess strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of partnering with IT leadership, business units, and vendors.
• You demonstrate high self-initiative and drive to accomplish tasks.
• You are fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus.
