Job summary

Hermès in Rome is seeking a Cashier to safeguard all point-of-sale and accounting activities while delivering an unforgettable boutique experience.

You will open/close tills, assist clients through the final steps of purchase, manage cash and banking procedures, and support back-office tasks. Fluency in Italian and English is required, with a third language an advantage; a bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent background.
• Fluent in Italian and English; third language a plus.
• Experience in luxury retail preferred.
• Proficient with Excel/PowerPoint/IT tools.
• Professionalism, teamwork and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the cash register and manage payments.
• Assist clients through final steps of purchase and verify cash transactions.
• Provide information and aftersales care to customers.
• Perform all in-store sales transactions and manage till; handle banking authorizations and tax refunds for foreign customers.
• Support daily back-office operations to assist selling teams.
• Ensure data entry and IT tools are updated.
