Mission
The role focuses on ensuring the safety and quality of industrial services (e.g., electrics mandatory certification, lifting equipment mandatory certification, elevator and plant certification, welding, pressure equipment, personnel certification and CE marking). The role works under the supervision of a Senior/Principal Inspector on more complex assignments.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct inspections: Perform on-site inspections, examinations and audits to assess compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and providing clear recommendations for corrective actions or improvements. Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and rejections.
- Material and procedure review: Review materials, manufacturing/process procedures and testing methods (e.g., NDT) to ensure they meet certification requirements.
- Quality assurance: Monitor the quality control processes during the activities, ensuring adherence to quality control plans.
- Code compliance: Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and regulations to ensure that all inspections or examinations are conducted in accordance with the latest requirements.
- Qualifications assessment: Assess the qualifications and certifications of services and operators, ensuring they meet the appropriate standards.
- Safety: Promote and enforce safety measures, ensuring that the operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
- Equipment reliability: Evaluate the reliability of equipment and plant inspected with tests and measures to ensure a compliance safety.
- Client interaction: Communicate with clients, answer their questions competently, and provide information about the certification scheme.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of inspection procedures.
- Training: Stay current with the latest inspection techniques and technologies, and provide training to colleagues and clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial service inspection, particularly in areas such as electrics, lifting equipment, welding, pressure equipment, personnel certification and CE marking.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and mandatory certifications relevant to industrial services (e.g., electrical systems, lifting devices, pressure vessels, etc.).
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, safety regulations, and technical standards applicable to industrial services and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and compliance documentation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to assess compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and test equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings and interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and under the supervision of senior inspectors for more complex assignments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to provide clear recommendations for compliance improvements.
- Certifications or professional membership in relevant bodies (e.g., IWCF, Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), CE marking expert) is a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
