What You’ll Do

As a Journal Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our publishing operations—curating, connecting, and catalyzing progress. You will:

  • Lead the full journey of article collections (Research Topics), from concept to publication.
  • Build lasting relationships with editors and researchers, championing our journals and fostering trust within the academic community.
  • Grow your assigned Specialty Sections into field leaders through strategic, data‑informed initiatives.
  • Elevate team performance by sharing insights, reporting progress, and participating in trainings.
  • Conduct outreach calls and confidently engage in proactive, cold‑call‑style conversations.
  • Enhance the author experience by responding to feedback and driving process improvements.
  • Evaluate editorial board composition and recruit new members to strengthen our network.
About You

You’re a natural communicator with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for open science. You bring:
