BCIC Swiss GmbH is seeking a Hardware Support Technician full-time in Milan, Italy. The role requires excellent skills in user IT infrastructure, Microsoft Windows, and Office applications.

As a technician, you will manage hardware issues, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure asset management. Candidates must hold a valid work permit in Italy and have several years of IT experience.

Technical Skills

• Excellent skills in user IT infrastructure – Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds, Smartphone etc.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and business productivity applications i.e. Office
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware break fix support, typically by whole unit swap
• Manage spares provided on site
• Execute installations and changes
• Deliver an excellent level of customer service
• Adhere to defined Processes and work instructions which will include the management of both proactive and
• Interface with multiple levels of end users, management, ‘VIPs’ and local technical staff.
• Troubleshoot issues on multiple computer platforms: Macintosh, Windows, Linux, and mobile devices
• Knowledge of network configurations: LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, and VLAN
• Responsible for asset tagging and entering all incoming equipment into our asset management system
• Provide weekly reports on physical inventory counts as well as record weekly outflows of hardware equipment
• Work with external Suppliers to schedule repairs for damaged/malfunctioning hardware

Requirements

• Must hold a valid work permit in Italy
