Job summary

Aman Venice is seeking a Guest Assistant Trainee to support the Front Office team in daily hospitality tasks. You will warmly welcome guests, escort them to rooms, and provide information about facilities and local attractions, while upholding the Aman brand promises.

The role requires fluency in Italian and English, strong communication, a proactive attitude, and availability for shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written. Any additional language is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and guest interaction skills and proactive approach.
• Available to work on shifts and during weekends.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warm or cold washcloths according to season.
• Check in the arriving guests and check out the departing guests in a friendly and caring manner according to the Aman Brand promises.
• Escort guests to the room and provide information about room facilities and amenities; assist with registration cards if needed.
• Show guests the hotel common areas and outlets.
• Accommodate special requests whenever possible.
• Answer guest requests and questions by phone or in person, provide information and take actions or refer to relevant staff.
• Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping for late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
• Report to Engineering any breakages.
• Stay informed about products, services, and daily hotel activities.
• Answer incoming calls and transfer or provide information efficiently.
• Maintain neatness of the working area.

Join our team in Aman Venice. Set in Palazzo Papadopoli, one of the city’s eight monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal, Aman Venice embodies all that is sumptuous and sensuous about La Serenissima. THE POSITION

The Guest assistant Trainee supports the Front Office Department in the everyday activities. At all times, the employee must display a professional and positive image of the hotel. Starting in February 2027.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests with warm or cold washcloths according to season;
• Check in the arriving guests and check out the departing guests in a friendly and caring manner according to the Aman Brand promises;
• Upon check in escort guests to the room and provide all necessary information about room facilities and amenities. If needed, assist guests in completing the registration cards;
• Show the hotel common areas and outlets to guests;
• Accommodate special requests whenever possible;
• Answer all guest requests and questions in a friendly and caring manner, whether by telephone or in person, provide/receive information and take appropriate actions or refer the matters to the relevant person to handle;
• Supports the coordination of the room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of late check-outs, early check-ins and special requests.
• Report to Engineering any breakage;
• Keep themselves informed of product and service as well as the hotel daily and meeting activities;
• Answer all incoming calls, connect them to the extension required or provide information in an efficient and caring manner;
• Maintain at any time the neatness of the working area.
