A leading pan-European commercial bank is looking for a proactive Correspondent Banking Client Manager in Milano. In this role, you will support Sales managers in achieving revenue targets, handle operational tasks related to Trade Finance products, and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Trade Finance and excellent interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is essential, and other languages are a plus.

We are looking for a proactive Correspondent Banking Client Manager to join our Trade & Correspondent Banking function in Italy. The role is focused on creating value for CB by focusing on operational aspects of the day-to-day business that are functional to sustainable revenue generation and development of relationships with Financial Institutions

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the Sales managers in achieving the revenue target assigned for the assigned geographical area.
  • Effectively take care of operational aspects of the day-today business, specifically regarding processing of: i) letters of credit and documentary collections, ii) letters of guarantee, iii) Letters of Credit Cash Collateral Agreement iv) any other product or service included in the GTB Trade Finance catalogue.
  • Proactively cooperate with Trade Finance Sales colleagues to ensure streamline of operations and deals materialization.
  • Effectively cooperate and interact with Credit Functions (FIG, FIBS, CRAM) and Risk Portfolio Optimization team, with the aim of structure and win deals in order to grow the business.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships both with external FI clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Trade Finance products and processes.
  • Knowledge of Operational/ Compliance/ AML/ Sanctions/ Reputational risks complete the profile of the ideal candidate.
  • Ability to support commercial initiatives.
  • Ability to work in an international and cross functional environment.
  • Ability to be a good team player.
  • Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus.
  • Ability to proactively propose solutions to simplify, innovate and make processes and tasks more efficient
