We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and motivated English Teacher.

About the School

Canadian School of Florence is a K-12 school with students from 3 to 18. The lower primary campus is in San Domenico, Fiesole. The upper primary and middle school campuses are in nearby piazza. The senior school (Grades 9‑12) is located in Florence, in a historic building less than 2 km away from the junior school.

All courses are taught in English (except for Italian and French) based on the Ontario curriculum, with Italian language preparation for national exams. Students pursue the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and, at the high school level, may also earn a dual Liceo delle Scienze Umane diploma.

Your Profile

Education & Training

• Bachelor of Education degree (Ontario or equivalent);
• Qualified to teach middle‑school students in English;
• First‑language English speaker;

EAL and language acquisition knowledge and / or experience.

Experience

• Proven experience teaching in high school;
• Demonstrates creativity, passion for teaching and a strong work ethic;
• Experience with innovative teaching and learning;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, negotiation and mediation skills;
• Commitment to the mission and vision of the school, academic and co‑curricular directions;
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to nurture unique learning experiences for students;
