A multinational technology company is seeking an IT Technician Trainee to work with the world's largest computing infrastructure. This 6-month role involves troubleshooting hardware, performing diagnostics, and maintaining system reliability in a fast-paced data center. Ideal candidates should have basic IT knowledge and be flexible with shift patterns. Opportunities for full-time positions may arise after the contract ends.

Competenze

  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configurations.
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience and/or knowledge.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.

You will work with the world’s largest computing infrastructure. Your work involves periods of independence from your team. You will learn the daily operations of a large data center, working and troubleshooting hands‑on with servers and network equipment. You will interact with other teams like logistics, networking, security and others to get the job done. There is never a dull moment as each day presents a different challenge. Work with multiple teams (DC operations, DC Engineering, Logistics, Security and Projects etc.). Data Center Operations designs, installs and maintains the world’s largest Computing Infrastructure. Our scope of work includes systems, repairing, dealing with issues, handling and tracking parts and assisting in Data Center maintenance. Amazon Data Centers are large‑scale high‑density centers where you will help change the face of Technology in the region.

We are looking for candidates to commit to a 6‑month contract and we are committed to provide coaching and periodic assessments to help develop your skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problems
  • Perform basic level OS troubleshooting
  • Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting
  • Perform replacement of our parts of and devices
  • Perform storage media (HDD, SSD etc.) sanitization and destruction tasks
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets efficiently
  • Follow DC operations, Logistics, Security and Safety related processes and guidelines
  • Practice and enforce Amazon’s Security and Safety best practices

This position requires working in a 24/7 operational environment with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work any assigned shift pattern, which typically follows a 12‑hour rotation (day/night). Shift schedules may be subject to change based on operational needs, and employees must be able to maintain alertness and effectiveness throughout their designated shifts. On‑call responsibilities may be required, and the ability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular shift hours is essential. Shift differential pay will be provided for non‑standard hours in accordance with company policy.

Basic Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configurations.
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience and/or knowledge.
  • Physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.
