A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee health and safety on major projects. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry and a strong understanding of OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring HSE policies, conducting inspections, and supervising safety training activities. This position requires willingness to work on international sites.

Competenze

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Construction and Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry involving heavy construction sites.
  • Knowledge about OSHA construction regulations and lockout requirements.

Mansioni

  • Support and monitor the implementation of the HSE Policy and Management System.
  • Perform Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Organize and plan periodical HSE inspections and audits.
  • Coordinate HSE training activities on site.

Overview

It is an essential requisite the availability to spend construction projects period abroad.

Activity & Main Responsibilities

HSE Manager is appointed for major projects and in case of Consortium or ATI. He reports to the Site Manager and takes under his control the following duties :

To support and monitor the implementation of the Tecnimont HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site.

To perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate to the Job Safety Analysis (JSA);

Verify the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and all related procedures, to the preparing any revisions;

To update the HSE documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary;

To check that Subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the said procedures and regulations are observed;

To organize, plan and participate to periodical HSE walk around, Inspections and Audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, action plans, verify the follow up and the timely execution of the corrective action;

To organize, coordinate the HSE Training activities on site;

To organize and participate to all relevant site HSE Meetings;

To cooperate with the Client concerning the issuing of any necessary work permits;

To organize in case of work accidents a full investigation of the event, finalized to the identification of corrective measure to avoid reoccurrence;

To keep accident records, identifying the areas to which prevention must be addressed;

To promote indoctrination / training of personnel;

To lead and coordinate the activities of the Site HSE Committee (composed by all Contractor and Subcontractors HSE Representative);

To lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention / fighting team, organizingtraining and emergency drill mock activities;

To prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical report;

To prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics, verify the performance versus the Project and corporate HSE Objective, Targets and performance indicators; propose recovery plan in case of mismatch

Knowledge & Qualifications

Your skills are :

  • The ideal candidate must possess undergraduate degree in either Construction Management or relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Construction and Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry involving heavy construction sites with mechanical, electrical and piping installation
  • Knowledge about OSHA construction regulations and lockout requirements
