Overview

A fabulous opportunity to join an incredible luxury hospitality brand and an amazing Sales Team representing the most stunning properties located in Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, and Portugal). The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, driven, and ambitious individual who possesses strong communication and selling skills, with a deep understanding of the cultural nuances of international markets. The Area Sales Manager is accountable for ensuring targets and objectives are met and direct sales activities are focused on generating the highest results for the overall success of Belmond's properties. Scope and Purpose: The Area Sales Manager acts as a Brand Ambassador, delivering a professional and memorable experience to clients in assigned territories. You will be responsible for creating and maximizing sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets for Belmond properties in Italy and Spain, focusing on developing high-value relationships within international markets to be defined.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and account management plans to achieve revenue goals and acquire new business across diverse segments.
  • Establish and nurture deep partnerships with key decision-makers, bookers, and influencers within all assigned accounts to ensure long-term loyalty.
  • Proactively qualify leads and lead closing efforts by utilizing advanced selling and negotiation tools to maximize conversion ratios.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and the Special Events Sales Office (SESO) to align sales actions with divisional strategies.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, missions, and industry functions, while hosting high-impact client events and educational trips.
  • Deliver regular product training and high-level presentations to ensure the portfolio remains front-of-mind for global partners.
  • Conduct strategic market analysis using Power BI and CRM tools to evaluate productivity and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Prepare reports to Management on properties and clients performance.
  • Be available to travel, plan and execute business travels such as sales missions, trade shows and other business commitments on behalf of Belmond Italy & Spain.
  • Be available to travel, plan and execute fam trips to the different Belmond Italy & Spain Hotels.
  • Manage administrative duties, including CRM database integrity (OSC), expense control, and regular production reporting.
  • Act as a dedicated Brand Ambassador, upholding company policies, confidentiality, and professional codes of conduct at all times.
  • Embody Belmond's core values (Care, Confidence, Curiosity, and Community) while actively contributing to divisional meetings and professional development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality or related field.
  • Degree from a Hotel Management School is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of b2b key accounts based.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated with a result-driven approach.
  • Proven capability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Italian, written and verbal - additional languages will be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 - knowledge of account management and business intelligence platforms considered a plus.
  • EU passport or legal permit to work in Italy.
