Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies seeks a seasoned ServiceNow Developer to design and deliver ITSR-driven solutions on the ServiceNow platform from requirements to deployment. You will implement catalog items, request fulfilment workflows, approvals, and portal experiences, while integrating with external systems via REST and SOAP.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong JavaScript skills, and a solid ITSM background, with CSA/CIS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development for ITSR capabilities.
• Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (client scripts, business rules, UI policies).
• Deep understanding of ServiceNow fundamentals and config vs customization.
• Experience building ITSR solutions: Service Catalog items, Record Producers, Order Guides, Variables/Variable Sets.
• Experience with Flow Designer and request fulfilment workflows.
• Hands-on Service Portal development for request journeys (catalogue/pages, widgets).
• Integration experience with REST and SOAP services to support fulfilment and downstream systems.
• Experience with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change) interfacing with request fulfilment.
• Ability to translate business requirements into end-to-end processes; strong analytical skills.
• End-to-end delivery across design, build, test, deployment, and hypercare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ServiceNow application development for ITSR capabilities.
• Build and configure ITSR items: Catalog, Record Producers, Order Guides, Variables.
• Implement approvals, fulfilment workflows, SLAs, notifications, and task orchestration.
• Design and implement Flow Designer/workflows for request fulfilment.
• Develop Service Portal pages, widgets, and UX improvements for request journeys.
• Manage update sets and deployment across environments; ensure smooth promotions.
• Integrate with REST/SOAP services to support fulfilment and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with ITSM teams (Incident/Problem/Change) interfacing with fulfilment processes.
• Document use cases, process maps, and BPM/workflow artifacts.

• 5+ years experience in software development, with significant hands–on experience delivering ServiceNow application development for IT Service Request (ITSR) capabilities.
• Strong JavaScript development skills, with excellent ServiceNow scripting experience (client scripts, business rules, script includes, UI policies/actions).
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform fundamentals, including data model/data layer concepts and configuration versus customisation best practice.
• Proven experience building ITSR–aligned request solutions, including:
  1. Service Catalogue items, Record Producers, Order Guides, Variables/Variable Sets
  2. Approvals, fulfilment workflows, SLAs, notifications, and task orchestration
  3. Flow Designer and workflow patterns for request fulfilment
• Hands–on Service Portal development experience for request journeys (catalogue/request pages, widgets, portal configuration and UX improvements).
• Strong knowledge of update set hierarchy and deployment/promotion practices across environments.
• Integration experience, including REST/API integrations and exposure to SOAP/web services where required, to support request fulfilment and downstream systems.
• Experience working with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change) where they interface with request fulfilment and operational processes.
• Demonstrated ability to design and document process–based solutions, including use cases, request/fulfilment process maps, and BPM/workflow documentation.
• ServiceNow certification preferred/required: CSA and/or CIS (as applicable).
• Ability to translate business requirements into end–to–end request processes and technical solutions; strong analytical and problem–solving skills.
• End–to–end delivery experience across solution design, build, test, deployment, and hypercare/support.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, able to explain complex technical scenarios clearly and concisely to different audiences.
