Job summary

Baxy is seeking a Hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design projects from concept through production release. You will architect, model, and validate innovative mechanical solutions, create and review 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, and perform rigorous calculations to meet functional, quality, cost, and safety requirements.

You will coordinate with production, quality, procurement and maintenance teams, support prototype development and validation, and drive documentation and revision

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of machine design principles.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with SAP systems.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative mechanical designs based on customer, project, and business requirements.
• Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and engineering evaluations.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
• Lead mechanical design activities from concept through production release.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues and design challenges.
• Support prototype development, testing, and product validation activities.
• Work closely with production, quality, procurement, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare technical specifications, BOMs and engineering reports.
• Maintain engineering records and revision control.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
