Job summary

Evolute Group in Bengaluru is seeking a capable Mechanical Design Engineer with hands‑on experience to design, develop and refine mechanical components and systems. You will ensure parts meet functional, quality and cost targets while collaborating across product teams.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform basic CAE/FEA, and support prototype testing. The role requires strong CAD skills, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and good GD&T understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD & 2D drafting.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal, Machining, Die Casting, etc.).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and fits.
• Experience with materials selection (plastics, metals).
• Basic knowledge of FEA/Simulation is an advantage.
• Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
• Prepare 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and technical documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet functional, quality, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
• Prepare 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and technical documentation.
