Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Kolkata, India to design and optimize mechanical parts and assemblies. You will develop 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs while performing tolerance analyses and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong CAD skills (UG NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor), a solid grasp of GD&T and DFM/DFA, and good communication to support iterative prototyping and ECN/ECR processes.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, materials, GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD software: UG NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or Autodesk Inventor.
• Familiarity with 2D drafting tools (AutoCAD or DraftSight).
• Basic knowledge of CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, COMSOL) is an advantage.
• Understanding of DFM/DFA principles and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities
