Job summary

Sahajanand Medical Technologies Ltd in Mumbai (Andheri East) is seeking an Officer IT to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security, and enterprise systems.

You will ensure availability, security, scalability, and performance in line with business needs, while coordinating with vendors and supporting IT upgrade projects.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Networking and security skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers, storage, and backups.
• Implement security policies, firewalls, patching, and antivirus.
• Oversee network infrastructure including switches, routers, VPN, and WLAN.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.
• Support IT upgrade projects and data centre management.

Overview

The IT officer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure, including Server, Networks, Hardware, Security, and Enterprise Systems. The role ensures optimal availability, security, scalability, and performance of all IT infrastructure components in alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain servers (Windows / Linux) storage, virtualization environments and backup systems.
• Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, patching, and antivirus
• Maintain asset inventory (hardware, software, licenses).
• Oversee network infrastructure & provide L2/ L3 support including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points.
• Manage data centre/ server room environment and hardware lifecycle
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, audits, and standards
• Support & Co-ordinate with vendors for break down issues.
• Maintain backup schedules, test restore procedures and ensure data availability.
• Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery activities
• Assist in Manufacturing, IT infrastructure upgrade and rollout projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree
