Job summary

Vinod Infotech in Delhi seeks an IT Support Technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot trading software such as XTS, Orvix, and Odien. You will support trading terminals, user systems, and related applications across the network.

You will diagnose hardware, software, and OS issues, assist with cabling and equipment, monitor performance, and document issues to ensure timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• Relevant technical certifications or practical experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot trading software such as XTS, Orvix, and Odien.
• Provide technical support for trading terminals, user systems, and related applications.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, internet access, and LAN-related issues.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, and other networking equipment.
• Monitor system and network performance to ensure stable and reliable connectivity.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and basic operating system issues.
• Assist with network cabling, including UTP, Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic connections.
• Support TCP/IP configuration, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and other essential networking services.
• Coordinate with internet service providers, software vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain IT equipment records, document technical issues, and ensure timely resolution of support requests.

Required Technical Skills

1. Trading Software

• Working knowledge of trading software such as XTS, Orvix, and Odien.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot trading applications and terminals.
• Understanding of connectivity issues affecting trading platforms.

2. Networking Skills

• Knowledge of core protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, ARP, and ICMP.
• Understanding of the OSI model and basic network troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with UTP, Cat5e/Cat6 cabling, and fiber optic connectivity.
• Understanding of LAN, WAN, IP addressing, and network connectivity.

3. General IT Support

• Troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and operating system issues.
• Basic system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to respond to technical issues promptly and support users effectively.
