Job summary

Emkay Global Financial Services seeks an experienced L2 Production Support Analyst for trading platforms in Mumbai. You will ensure trading applications function during BOD and EOD, provide L2 support for market connectivity and order management systems, and independently perform patch upgrades.

You will also troubleshoot production issues, monitor system performance, assist users with installation and backups, and escalate complex cases to L3 while collaborating with QA teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with trading platforms, including Omnesys (IOB), Greeksoft, Kambala, Symphony and other trading technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of trading system operations and production support.
• Proficiency in database technologies: MySQL, MSSQL.
• Strong knowledge of Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Experience in Windows and Linux environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, ports, latency, connectivity).
• Basic domain knowledge of trading workflows and financial instruments like equities, options and futures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all trading applications function during BOD and EOD activities.
• Provide L2 support for trading applications, market connectivity, order management systems, and real-time data feeds.
• Independently perform patch upgrades and application updates for trading platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to trading applications.
• Monitor systems for outages, latency, and performance degradation.
• Assist users with installation, configuration, and data backup/restoration of essential apps and databases.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 support or vendor teams with detailed diagnostics.
• Collaborate with QA teams and vendors to test, implement, and deploy fixes in staging and production.
• Maintain knowledge base documentation for common issues and procedures.
