JD Head - IT

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced IT professional who can join us, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. In this role, you will analyse our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide required training. Our ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of network maintenance, IT sotwares and administration, ERP implementation and business process flows especially in a manufacturing company, AI tools, experience in managing IT staff, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge.

Objectives of this Role:

• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
• Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities in IT
• Assess right ERP fit, evaluate new ERP solution and handle entire change management to a new ERP.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
• Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
• Assess need for new equipment and software.
• Identifies and eliminates security risks.
• Liaise with vendors and third parties.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Analyse department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions.
• Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions.
• Continuously analyse current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement in co-ordination with other functional heads
• Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analysing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.
• Regularly conduct training sessions for n employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures, and maintain data backups.
• Handle and liaison for IT systems audit and other compliance requirements related to IT
• Willingness to travel for longer periods beyond the base station of work for various IT initiatives and implementation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience and leadership/pivot role in end-to-end life cycle management of implementing enterprise-solutions in IT for manufacturing companies, including identification to implementation and maintenance.
• Hands on experience in working on integrating multiple software systems for seamless functioning.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects from point of criticality and compliance needs
• Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
• Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
• Fair knowledge of manufacturing processes, industry best practices in IT solutions, systems-designing for such processes etc.

Preferred Qualities:

• Demonstrated self-starter in identifying and driving IT initiatives
• Strong interpersonal communication, languageand leadership skills.
• Strong creative and analytical thinking.
• Ability to fully understand businesses processes and implement them in the ERP system through detailed and accurate process design.

Professional certifications and continuing education preferred.
