Job summary

Communications Test Design is seeking an IT Field Support Engineer to provide on-site troubleshooting and maintenance across client locations. The role requires hands-on work with desktops, laptops, printers, and networking, along with remote support where needed.

You will coordinate with central IT and vendors, maintain asset records, and travel to sites as required. The candidate should be comfortable with field work and driving to client sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTech/BSc/BCA or IT-related qualification preferred.
• 1–2 years of IT field/support experience.
• Willingness for field work and client-site travel.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support to users and locations.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, peripherals.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and perform OS setup.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN/Wi-Fi/TCP-IP connectivity.
• Install and maintain IT hardware and peripherals.
• Coordinate with central IT, vendors and providers.
• Update service/ticket records and perform site visits.

Job Summary

We are looking for IT Field Support Engineers to provide on-site IT support, troubleshooting and maintenance across multiple locations for a large retail/IT infrastructure project.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in desktop/laptop troubleshooting, hardware & software support, networking, printer/peripheral support and on‑site IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site / field‑level IT support to users and business locations.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software‑related issues.
• Perform OS installation, configuration and basic application troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and maintain IT hardware and peripherals.
• Coordinate with central IT teams, vendors and service providers for issue resolution.
• Maintain IT assets and update service/ticket records.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine site visits where required.
• Follow IT support processes, SLA requirements and escalation procedures.
• Travel to different locations/sites as required for field support.

• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required for field positions.
• Candidates should be comfortable working independently at client sites.
