Job summary

Rigved Technologies is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site IT support for Reliance Retail outlets across PAN India. The role involves hardware, software, printer, and basic networking troubleshooting, with frequent travel to multiple stores.

The candidate should have 1+ year of IT hardware and networking experience, strong PC/Desktop troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently at various locations. 24/7 rostering and extensive travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in IT hardware and networking support.
• Good knowledge of PC/Desktop hardware troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with printers and peripheral devices.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking and networking equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently at multiple customer/store locations.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to prepare service reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, IMAC, rollout, and asset management activities will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support to Reliance Retail outlets for hardware, software, printer, and basic networking-related issues.
• Visit multiple retail stores across assigned locations to attend IT service calls and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to: Desktop PCs and laptops, Printers and other peripherals, Basic network connectivity, Networking equipment such as switches, routers, and related devices.
• Coordinate and provide timely on-site support and ensure service calls are resolved within the defined timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation of service activities, asset details, preventive maintenance, and call closures.
• Travel extensively across assigned areas to provide field support, with approximately 50-70% travel expected.
• Perform any other IT field support activities assigned by the management.

Other Requirements & Working Conditions

• Willingness to travel extensively across assigned locations.
• 24 7 working environment; working hours and weekly offs will be based on the roster.
• There will be no fixed Saturday/Sunday or public holiday off.
• Working on National Holidays will be compensated with double pay, as per applicable company policy.
• Public Holidays (PH) worked will be compensated with compensatory off, as per applicable company policy.
• Candidate must be flexible to work across different locations and visit multiple stores as required.
