Job summary

Mastek in Tiruchirappalli seeks an IT Support professional to handle desktop/laptop setups, MS Office troubleshooting and end-user incident resolution. You will work with Windows Server, Active Directory and basic network concepts, documenting issues in the service desk system and coordinating asset allocations with the Asset management team.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support: desktop/laptop setup and MS Office troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Office, and TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP.
• Experience with system upgrades, patches and antivirus updates.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software across desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
• Record and update incidents using the IT service desk system.
• Basic network knowledge for LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity.
• Experience with collaboration systems and AV equipment in meeting rooms.
• Coordinate with Asset management for asset allocation/de-allocation.
• Customer service experience required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve end-user IT incidents/requests with proper analysis.
• Document incidents and updates in the IT service desk system.
• Support desktop, laptop and mobile device setups and configurations.
• Assist in software updates, patches and antivirus maintenance.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for network connectivity (LAN/WAN/Internet).
• Support collaboration systems and AV equipment in meeting rooms.

Job description

• Working experience of IT Support –desktop, laptop setup, MS Office installation troubleshooting etc.
• Knowledge of windows server, active directory, MS Office application as well as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP is desired.
• Knowledge of system upgrades and patches, Antivirus updates/issues ,resolving any software issues.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of troubleshooting computer related issues both hardware and software, as well as desktop, laptop and mobile devices.
• Resolve end user IT incidents/requests raise by carrying out proper diagnosis/analysis.
• Basic Knowledge & troubleshooting basic network/LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity for systems.
• Knowledge of collaboration systems – Audio-Video system in meeting rooms, Handling & supporting projectors for end users.
• Accurately record, update, and document incident & requests using the IT service desk system.
• Co-ordinate with Asset management team & for allocation & de-allocation of assets to end users.
• Previous work-related experience in a customer service-related role required.
