Job summary

Mastek in Tiruchirappalli, India is seeking an IT Support professional to assist end users with desktop and laptop setup, MS Office installations, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

You will diagnose incidents, document them in the service desk system, assist with network connectivity basics, and support AV equipment in meeting rooms, while maintaining clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support for desktop and laptop setup, MS Office installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Office applications, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with system upgrades/patches, antivirus updates and software issue resolution.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software for desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve end-user IT incidents/requests.
• Basic knowledge of network/LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity.
• Familiarity with collaboration systems and AV equipment in meeting rooms.
• Accurate incident documentation in the IT service desk system.
• Coordinate with Asset management for asset allocation/de-allocation.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end-user IT incidents/requests with proper diagnosis and timely resolution.
• Record, update, and document incidents using the IT service desk system.
• Assist with basic network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/Internet).
• Support AV equipment and projectors in meeting rooms for end users.
• Coordinate asset allocation with the asset management team.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and stakeholders.

Job description

• Working experience of IT Support –desktop, laptop setup, MS Office installation troubleshooting etc.
• Knowledge of windows server, active directory, MS Office application as well as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP is desired.
• Knowledge of system upgrades and patches, Antivirus updates/issues ,resolving any software issues.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of troubleshooting computer related issues both hardware and software, as well as desktop, laptop and mobile devices.

• Accurately record, update, and document incident & requests using the IT service desk system.
• Co-ordinate with Asset management team & for allocation & de-allocation of assets to end users.
• Previous work-related experience in a customer service-related role required.
