Job summary

Cogent It Solutions in Chennai is hiring a Team Lead US IT Recruitment & Delivery. The role requires 5+ years of team-handling experience in US IT recruitment, working with EST hours and office-based operations.

Immediate joiners are preferred and candidates willing to relocate to Chennai may apply. You will lead a small recruiter team and manage end-to-end recruitment and delivery activities for US clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in US IT Staffing / Recruitment.
• Previous experience as Recruitment Lead, Team Lead, Lead Recruiter, or Delivery Lead.
• Hands-on recruiting and sourcing for contract and permanent roles.
• Experience working with Direct clients and SIs.

Responsibilities

• Personally manage and work on US IT active requirements to ensure submissions and closures.
• Source candidates through JobDiva, LinkedIn Recruiter, Dice, Indeed, Monster, CareerBuilder, and other recruitment platforms.
• Review resumes, conduct initial screening, assess fit, and shortlist qualified candidates.
• Understand client requirements, job descriptions, skill sets, rates, locations, work authorization, and submission criteria.
• Maintain a strong candidate pipeline and develop new candidate sources.
• Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, manage expectations, and drive the hiring process.
• Negotiate rates, manage offer discussions, and assist in closing candidates.
• Track submission-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios and take corrective action when required

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Delivery Hands-On

• • Maintain a strong candidate pipeline and continuously develop new candidate sources.
• • Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, manage candidate expectations, and drive candidates through the hiring process.
• • Negotiate rates, manage offer discussions, and assist in closing candidates.
• • Ensure high-quality, timely submissions with strong attention to detail.
• • Track submission-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios and take corrective action when required

Team Leadership & Management

• • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2-4 recruiters.
• • Assign requirements and establish daily/weekly recruitment priorities.
• • Monitor recruiter activity, submissions, interviews, offers, and starts.
• • Conduct daily huddles and pipeline reviews to identify challenges and opportunities.
• • Coach recruiters on sourcing strategies, screening techniques, candidate engagement, and closing.
• • Help underperforming recruiters improve productivity through structured action plans.
• • Lead by example by maintaining an active personal recruitment pipeline.
• • Promote accountability, teamwork, and a performance-driven culture.

Required Skills & Experience

• • 5+ years of experience in US IT Staffing / Recruitment.
