Job summary

Smart Work Consultants in Tamil Nadu seeks a Field System Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure at client sites. The role covers desktops, servers, networking gear and Windows OS, with on-site support and documentation duties.

You will diagnose hardware and networking issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors. Travel to client locations is required, offering field exposure and growth in IT infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Desire to work at customer locations and resolve hardware and networking issues.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and Wi‑Fi infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and infrastructure systems.
• Provide on-site technical support at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot desktops, servers, network devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Install and configure operating systems, software and applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and networking issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, switches and routers.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for escalated issues.
• Maintain service reports, installation records and customer documentation.
• Travel to client sites as required.

We are looking for a technically skilled Field System Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for IT infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at customer locations and resolving hardware, networking, and system-related issues.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and infrastructure systems


• Provide on-site technical support at customer locations


• Troubleshoot desktops, servers, network devices, printers, and peripherals
