Job summary

Oshin Infotech Services is seeking a field service engineer to install, configure, test, and commission AV and networking products at customer locations in Chandigarh, India.

You will review site specifications, prepare installation plans, and ensure customer acceptance and handover. The role requires hands-on technical support, maintenance, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification/training is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

• Review site specifications and customer requirements before installation.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide onsite nd remote technical support to customers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system-related issues.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to management and relevant teams.
• Document service activities, technical findings, and corrective actions.

Maintenance & Service

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
• Attend emergency breakdown calls and service requests.
• Conduct system inspections and recommend upgrades or improvements.
• Ensure service quality and compliance with company standards.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, phone calls, and email communication.
• Gather customer feedback and report concerns to management.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Training & Product Demonstration

• Conduct product and system training sessions for customers and partners.
• Prepare and maintain training equipment and materials.
• Support product demonstrations, exhibitions, and trade shows.
• Assist sales teams with technical presentations and customer queries.

Networking & IT Support

• Install,configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
• Set up and manage LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Implement network security measures and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes.
• Support integration of network infrastructure with existing customer environments.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of AV (Audio-Visual) products and systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Basic networking knowledge with understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
• CCNA certification/training is mandatory.
• Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with network security concepts and firewall configuration.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good English speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
