Job summary

Prognova is seeking a Field Support Engineer to visit client sites, install, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware and networks. The role requires 2–3 years of IT field or desktop support experience and travel to client locations.

You will handle hardware maintenance, Windows troubleshooting, and network setup, while maintaining documentation and delivering professional customer service. A diploma or degree in CS/IT/ECE is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years IT field/desktop support or networking experience.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, LAN, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP, and network devices.
• Diploma or degree in CS/IT/ECE; willing to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Visit client sites to install, configure and troubleshoot IT equipment.
• Provide on-site support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install and configure desktops, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and peripherals.
• Diagnose faults and perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and basic network settings.
• Maintain service documentation and coordinate with internal technical teams.
• Ensure timely, professional, and customer-focused service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in computer hardware installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and replacements.
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, and printer installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and travel to client locations.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or a related field.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.
