Job summary

SAMSARA SHIPPING is looking for an experienced professional to lead the team in liner shipping and freight forwarding sales. The role demands strong communication, the ability to coordinate across departments, and proactive management of customer relations to ensure delight and timely collections.

The candidate should have 5–10 years in similar roles, be capable of identifying sales leads, negotiating freight rates, and maintaining accurate customer records in the ERP system.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate with 5–10 years in Liner Shipping/Forwarding.
• Experience leading a team and strong communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with all departments and ensure customer delight.

Responsibilities

• Identify sales leads and pass them to the Sales team.
• Independently correspond with Principals.
• Experience in Container Liner Shipping / Freight Forwarding Sales.
• Negotiate freight rates with customers with approval from Line Managers.
• Maintain and update customer records in the ERP system.
• Achieve targets and ensure timely collections.
• Dynamic, proactive approach with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Build strong contacts with Shippers/Intermediaries.

Role & responsibilities

Candidate should be Graduate / Post Graduate with 5-10 years experience in similar capacity in Liner Shipping / Forwarding.

Should be able to lead a team and must possess good communication skills. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring data and communication updates.

Should co-ordinate effectively with all departments & to ensure proactively, customer delight at the highest levels.

Responsibilities include identifying sales leads and passing on the same to the Sales team.

Must be able to independently correspond and communicate with Principals.

Experience in Container Liner Shipping / Freight Forwarding Sales.

Should be dynamic, go-getter with good oral and written communication skills.

Should have strong customer orientation and good contacts with Shippers / Intermediaries.

Will be responsible for achieving targets and ensuring timely collections.

Will negotiate freight rates with customer basis approval from Line Managers.

Additional responsibilities will include maintaining and updating customer records in ERP system.
