Job summary

e2E RAIL Group invites a Manager – Business Development (Civil) to lead the identification, evaluation, and securing of Civil Infrastructure opportunities. The role covers market intelligence, client engagement, bid management, and strategic partnerships to drive project acquisition.

The incumbent will steer pre-bid activities, work with estimation, engineering, and commercial teams, and oversee the full bid lifecycle from opportunity to contract award.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8–15 years of experience in Business Development, Tendering, or Contracts within Civil Infrastructure or EPC companies
  • Proven experience in acquiring projects from Government and Private sector clients
  • Strong understanding of tendering processes, EPC contracts, commercial negotiations, and project acquisition
  • Familiarity with GeM, CPP Portal, Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, NHAI, Metro, and State Government procurement portals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across project locations

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in Civil Infrastructure, Railway, Metro, Highway, Building, Industrial, and EPC projects.
  • Track tenders through government and private portals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, PMI organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate pre-bid activities including site visits, tender analysis, clarification requests, and bid strategy.
  • Collaborate with estimation, engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams to prepare competitive proposals.
  • Manage the complete bid lifecycle from opportunity identification to bid submission and contract award.
  • Identify and negotiate with JV/Consortium partners, subcontractors, and strategic alliances where required.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and prepare business intelligence reports for management.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with tender requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies.
  • Achieve annual order booking, revenue, and business development targets.]

  • Coordinate pre-bid activities including site visits, tender analysis, clarification requests, and bid strategy.
  • Collaborate with estimation, engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams to prepare competitive techno-commercial proposals.
