Job summary

Bajaj finance limited is hiring for a Branch Manager to lead a busy branch in Odisha. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive field marketing, and ensure branch profitability while ensuring compliance and quality control of gold appraisal.

You will mentor staff, manage customer acquisitions and retention, and coordinate with teams to grow gold loan business and related products. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred
• Gold loan banking/management or client service experience preferred
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations and profitability.
• Drive field marketing activities to boost brand visibility.
• Plan and monitor branch and field marketing to ensure a healthy lead pipeline and growth.
• Engage customers for new acquisitions and retention of existing customers.
• Conduct gold ornament valuation and appraisal with correct weight and purity as per policy and audits.
• Serve as joint custodian of vault and safekeeping of pledged securities.
• Maintain NPAs through proactive collections follow-ups.
• Hire, coach, mentor and train staff with timely feedback.
• Maintain quality of business and prepare reports for branch growth.
• Increase gold loan business and other products (NCDs, gold coins).
• Ensure 100% process compliance at branch.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall branch operations, performance & profitability of the branch.
• Drive & participate in field marketing activities of various financial products along with the team to improve brand visibility.
• Plan, conduct & monitor the branch & field level marketing activities to ensure health pipeline of leads resulting into business conversion & branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement for new customer acquisitions & retainment of old customers.
• Conducting error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledged securities as per company policies.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
• Increase Gold Loan business, plus various other third-party products i.e., NCD's, Gold Coins sale etc.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Manage error free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
• Previous experience in gold loan banking, gold loan products, management or client service preferred.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
