The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the Irish commercial insurance market, excellent client relations, and relevant CIP/APA credentials or grandfathered status.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Commercial Insurance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Advise clients across a range of commercial insurance products.
• Manage the full renewal process, from reviewing client requirements through to negotiating terms and securing appropriate cover.
• Handle policy adjustments, mid-term amendments and day-to-day client queries.
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Using market knowledge and insurer relationships to deliver the right solutions for clients.
• Prepare and process insurance documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure activity complies with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service.

Salary: EUR40000 - EUR60000 per annum

The Role

My client, a well-established and highly regarded commercial insurance broker based in Cavan, is looking to appoint a Commercial Client Executive to join their friendly, close-knit and client-focused team.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position offering the opportunity to manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, with a strong focus on renewals, client servicing and new business.

This role would suit an experienced Commercial Insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, understands the Irish insurance market and is looking for a role where they can take ownership of their clients and develop their career within a well-established brokerage.

Tasks & Duties

• Managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
• Advising clients across a range of commercial insurance products
• Managing the full renewal process, from reviewing client requirements through to negotiating terms and securing appropriate cover
• Handling policy adjustments, mid-term amendments and day-to-day client queries
• Developing strong, long-term relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues
• Identifying opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new business
• Using your existing market knowledge and insurer relationships to deliver the right solutions for clients
• Preparing and processing insurance documentation accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring all activity is carried out in line with company procedures and relevant regulatory requirements, including Central Bank of Ireland regulations
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

• Previous experience within Commercial Insurance is essential
• Insurance broking experience is highly desirable
• Experience managing or servicing a commercial book of business would be an advantage
• CIP / APA qualified, or Grandfathered status
• Good knowledge of the Irish commercial insurance market
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
• Excellent telephone manner and confidence dealing with clients and insurers
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and use your own initiative
• Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the insurance broking sector
