Job summary

RECRUITERS in Ireland is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to manage an existing commercial book and identify new business opportunities. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in commercial broking.
• Open to strong Personal Lines professionals aiming to transition to Commercial Lines.
• Experience in PL/EL/CL, property, fleet or similar commercial lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial clients.
• Identify and generate new business to support organic growth.

• Complete renewals, handle queries, and provide high-quality service.
• Process insurance documentation in line with internal procedures and Central Bank of Ireland compliance requirements.
• Advise clients across casualty, property, fleet and mid-sized accounts (€20–80K premium).
• Attend approximately 5–6 client meetings per year at executive level.

About the role:

We are supporting a long‑established Irish commercial insurance brokerage with over 35 years’ experience in the market. The business operates as a close‑knit, 7‑person office in Cavan, offering a friendly, collaborative culture while also being part of a much larger, well‑invested international insurance group.

They are now seeking a Commercial Account Executive to manage an existing commercial book while also identifying development opportunities and generating new business. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys client relationships, autonomy, and shaping their own portfolio.

• Managing and growing an existing portfolio of commercial clients
• Identifying and generating new business to support organic growth
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
• Completing renewals, handling queries, and providing high‑quality service
• Processing insurance documentation in line with internal procedures and Central Bank of Ireland compliance requirements
• Advising clients across a range of commercial products including casualty, property, fleet (no motor), and mid‑sized accounts (€20–80K premium range)
• Attending approx. 5–6 client meetings per year at executive level

About you:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial broking (as a Handler or Executive). We are very open to strong broking professionals from Personal Lines who are motivated to build their career in Commercial Lines. If you have solid PL experience, strong client skills, and the ambition to progress into commercial broking, this role offers the support, exposure and development to make that transition successfully.
