Job summary

JAPFA FOOD INDONESIA in Jakarta Barat is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee finished goods receiving, storage and dispatch, and to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.

You will lead warehouse staff, implement SOPs, coordinate with sales and production, conduct stock counts, and drive KPI improvements in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or inventory management within a manufacturing or distribution environment, ideally with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, including inventory control systems, stock management and order fulfillment processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in training and motivating warehouse staff.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards relevant to warehouse operations.
• Good communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing operational demands.
• Familiarity with food industry standards and best practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the finished goods warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of products
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are properly documented and reconciled
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimise storage space utilisation and ensure efficient product placement
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Manage product quality assurance, including inspection of finished goods for damage or defects prior to dispatch
• Liaise with sales, production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
• Train and coach warehouse staff on proper handling procedures, safety protocols and performance standards
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, stock turnover and warehouse efficiency
• Prepare inventory reports and provide regular updates to management on warehouse operations and performance
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation within warehouse operations
