Job summary

Dijiwa Sanctuaries is seeking a Daily Worker Cook to join our Food and Beverages team in Bali. You will prepare and cook dishes, maintain high hygiene standards, and support service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while contributing to the Balinese culinary heritage.

We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a warm guest-oriented approach. Basic English can aid interactions with international guests, and prior kitchen experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMA/SMK high school diploma or equivalent.
• Food handler certification is preferred.
• Basic English is advantageous for international guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Dijiwa's standards, ensuring consistency.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards following sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to support breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing supplies while minimizing waste.
• Participate in menu development reflecting Balinese and Indonesian heritage.
• Keep workstations clean and organized; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Support special events and private dining requests as needed.
• Engage positively with colleagues and guests, embodying the sanctuary spirit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Dijiwa's standards and recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality for every dish served
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, following all sanitation protocols and ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations during breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods, supporting seamless guest dining experiences
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and properly organizing food supplies while minimizing waste
• Participate in menu development discussions and contribute ideas for seasonal or locally-inspired dishes that reflect Balinese and Indonesian culinary heritage
