Senior DevOps Consultant (Remote)

Contract | 1 week (With Option to Extend) | £400-500/day

We're working with a lean, product-focused startup that's currently transitioning into the next phase of growth. The team is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal DevOps Consultant to help design and implement a robust, scalable infrastructure foundation.

We need a strategic, hands-on DevOps expert with experience in startup environments, confident in building reusable patterns to support future services. You will collaborate closely with a technical founder and CEO to architect smart, scalable systems suitable for a lean team, including practices like GitOps, Helm, Terragrunt, EKS, and modern CI/CD.

This role is about building from day one to enable rapid deployment, scalability, and maintainability, not legacy maintenance.

• Proven experience bootstrapping infrastructure for early-stage products
• Deeply hands-on, capable of scoping, building, and delivering independently
• Comfortable refactoring and modularizing setups to create clean, replicable patterns
• Pragmatic with a startup mindset: low overhead, high impact
• Clear communicator of trade-offs and decisions
• Experience working with startups or small companies

• High trust and autonomy with direct access to decision-makers
