Are you a psychology graduate interested in working with children with behavioural and mental health needs? We have numerous schools across Camden seeking confident and proactive graduates with a solid understanding of child mental health to work as teaching assistants.
As a specialist teaching assistant, you will work with pupils on a 1-to-1 basis during the school day. The pupils will range in age from 5 to 11 years old and may have identified behavioural, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs requiring full-time support. Your work will involve classroom support, participation in specialist mentoring sessions, and supervision during some break times. Some pupils may display challenging behaviours, and the school will provide training in suitable interventions and approaches. You will collaborate closely with the school's SENCO, senior management team, and outside agencies such as therapists, healthcare professionals, and CAMHS.
