Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced MEICA Project Manager to deliver multi-disciplinary engineering projects across the utilities sector. This role will involve managing project teams and subcontractors, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) schemes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in water infrastructure and a strong track record of leading technically complex projects for regulated clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end delivery of MEICA projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budget targets are met
Lead project teams and subcontractors across various phases of work
Liaise closely with design and civils teams to coordinate project execution
Uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) compliance standards
Produce and manage project cost forecasts, reports, and risk registers
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Drive delivery through proactive planning, site supervision, and effective issue resolution
Support tendering, work-winning efforts, and future project planning
Champion a positive team culture focused on collaboration and performance
Requirements
Essential:
At least 8 years' experience managing MEICA or M&E projects (preferably in the water/utilities sector)
Proven leadership across multiple work packages and stakeholder groups
Strong understanding of HSEQ standards, commercial principles, and regulatory frameworks
SMSTS and CSCS certification
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Experience working to Affinity Water or similar client specifications
Desirable:
Degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering or Project Management
APM membership or similar project management accreditation
