A specialist education support provider in the UK is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to primary school children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role involves delivering 1:1 tutoring sessions, implementing individual education plans, and using effective behaviour management strategies. Ideal candidates will have experience working with ASD pupils and familiarity with methods like PECS or Makaton. This long-term position offers training opportunities and a supportive consultant throughout the process.
Location: Newham, E16
Contract: Long-term/Permanent
Day Rate: 105-115

Long Term Futures are looking for a nurturing and resilient Teaching Assistant to support two primary school children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), one who is mute and another who needs focused behaviour support.
This is a highly personalised support role, combining consistent one-on-one interaction, structured play, and emotional regulation. You'll be helping pupils to access learning in a way that's responsive, routine-driven, and relational.
