This is a rewarding opportunity for professionals passionate about positively impacting the social and emotional growth of young learners. You will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Prior experience supporting students with these needs is highly desirable.

We are proud to partner with a variety of inclusive schools who value skilled support staff and are happy to offer work tailored around your availability, including day-to-day and longer-term assignments.

We are looking for individuals who:
  • Bring creativity and adaptability to their support strategies
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Can prepare and organise learning materials and equipment
  • Are capable of assessing and responding to individual learning needs
  • Collaborate effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents, and external professionals
  • Are reliable, proactive, and patient in their approach
In return, Academics Rochester offers:
  • Flexible working options - including full or half-day placements
  • Highly competitive daily rates
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles
  • A dedicated and experienced Primary consultant for ongoing support
  • Tailored job search advice and interview preparation
  • A generous referral scheme
