A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lawyer (Employment and Tribunals) to provide specialist legal advice. The ideal candidate must be a qualified solicitor or barrister and will handle legal matters related to employment law, including court representation. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage a high caseload, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity as Lawyer (Employment and Tribunals) available on a fulltime basis. The London Borough of Ealing is proud to be a Borough synonymous with first class services, with vibrant and diverse communities. The lawyer role: advise on and deal with all legal matters relating to employment law to the Council, schools and other organisations from time to time. You will work independently and manage a high case load, ensuring that decisions are made in accordance with the Council's Constitution and the legislative framework. You will have a key role in representing the Council in court proceedings. You will also have a key role in ensuring the Council achieves best value in its commissioning. You may be responsible for advising senior leaders, independent panels and advising on corporate policies.
