Real Estate Lawyer - Agriculture | Top 50 UK Law Firm | City of London

This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented Real Estate Lawyer to develop their career within a team that acts for many of the UK's leading rural and agricultural business clients. The team advises on high-value, complex transactions across the agricultural, food, energy and rural property markets, offering exposure to work that is both technically challenging and commercially rewarding.

You will join a close-knit team recognised for their collaborative culture and the quality of their client relationships. The firm offers an environment that combines top-tier work with a genuine commitment to professional development and work-life balance.

As an Associate or Senior Associate in this team, you will handle a broad and varied caseload, including:

  • The sale and purchase of agricultural land, farms, estates, and equine properties
  • Investment transactions and development projects for corporate landowners, universities, charities, and institutions
  • Agricultural and business tenancies, farming partnerships, and rural refinancing
  • Renewable energy projects, mineral leases, and strategic land transactions
  • Advising on hybrid promotion schemes and acquisitions/disposals of estates with complex ownership structures

You will be encouraged to take direct client responsibility from an early stage, developing trusted relationships with a diverse client base that includes universities and Oxbridge colleges, national farming businesses, pension funds, investors, and trustees of prestigious landed estates.

You will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' PQE in Real Estate law, gained at a leading regional or City firm
  • A solid technical grounding in property transactions, ideally with exposure to rural or agricultural matters
  • Strong commercial awareness and a collaborative approach to client service
  • The ambition to contribute to a growing national team with a leading reputation in agribusiness law
