Desk Based Subsidence Engineer (MRICS / MBEng)
Job summary
A claims management company in the UK seeks a Desk-Based Subsidence Engineer to manage subsidence claims, overseeing projects up to £1m for domestic and commercial properties. The role involves assessing damage, negotiating with involved parties, and writing detailed reports. Ideal candidates will have an MRICS or MCIOB qualification, although this is not essential.

Responsibilities
- Handle claims/projects up to £1m in value for domestic and commercial/industrial properties.
- Oversee your own caseload of claims from start to finish after an initial visit undertaken by others.
- Assess damage and determine causation/policy liability.
- Write and submit full reports outlining findings and commenting on the nature and extent of damage.
- Negotiate with contractors, suppliers and other parties involved in the claim.
