Director of Sales & Operations (UK)

About Oxford Biolabs

Oxford Biolabs is a nutraceutical and cosmeceutical company developing award‑winning, naturally‑based products targeting visible signs of ageing, including hair loss, premature greying, thinning hair, and skin ageing.

Since 2009, we have operated globally with strong D2C channels, exclusive distributors in key markets, and a growing international B2B retail network.

We run lean. We move fast. And we are scaling.

We are now seeking a UK‑based Director to join the leadership team and take responsibility for day‑to‑day operations and commercial growth across the UK and international markets.

The Role

As our Director (UK), you will take operational and commercial ownership across:

1. Daily Operations Management
  • Lead the global remote back‑office sales & marketing teams (currently ca. 10 people)
  • Oversee customer operations, processes, and performance routines
  • Ensure smooth integration between D2C, B2B, fulfilment, marketing, and CRM systems
  • Operate with full accountability and a strong execution mindset
2. UK Commercial Growth
  • Grow UK B2B retail presence (clinics, salons, aesthetic practitioners, pharmacies, online retailers)
  • Strengthen UK and EU D2C performance through cost‑effective, ROI‑driven initiatives
  • Build UK presence strategically, including eventually hiring a small local team
3. B2B Retail & Distributor Expansion
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator Advanced Enterprise (Smart Links, team coordination, outreach execution)
  • HubSpot CRM (Sales Pro) with structured pipelines and forecasting
  • Develop retailer‑specific funnels for clinics, salons, pharmacies, online retailers
  • Shopify Plus Suite (for global D2C)
  • Coordinate global distributor acquisition for priority territories
4. Build & Lead a High‑Performance Team
  • Take over an existing global remote team (lead generators, sales managers, marketing support)
  • Bring structure, discipline, and measurable KPIs
  • Recruit additional UK headcount when justified by results
5. Work as the Founder’s Operational Counterpart
  • You will work directly with the Owner & Group CEO
  • You will help drive the company into its next growth phase
  • You will have significant autonomy and decision‑making authority
Who We’re Looking For
Must‑Haves
  • Strong background in commercial leadership, sales, operations, or general management
  • Hands‑on operator with experience in B2B and / or D2C environments
  • Confident with CRM & modern sales tech (HubSpot preferred)
  • Confident with Shopify Plus & modern e‑commerce practices
  • Experience managing remote teams
  • Highly resilient, numbers‑driven, structured, and self‑managing
  • UK‑based and legally able to serve as a registered company director
Strong Pluses
  • Experience in beauty, haircare, supplements, wellness, skincare, aesthetics, or consumer health
  • Track record building retail networks (salons, clinics, pharmacies)
  • Shopify Plus or marketplace experience (Amazon / eBay)
  • Prior responsibility for P&L, forecasts, KPIs, or growth projects
Success Indicators (12 Months)
  • UK retail network established: 50+ active B2B accounts
  • New exclusive distributors signed in key markets
  • D2C performance strengthened despite controlled budgets
  • A structured, accountable sales organisation with clear KPIs
  • UK operations foundation set (service providers, processes, early hires)
Compensation
