A leading healthcare provider in Bridgend is seeking a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department. You'll support nursing staff, ensure high standards of care, and act as deputy when necessary. Ideal candidates will have experience in emergency and paediatric nursing. The role requires strong communication and change management skills, with a commitment to patient welfare.
The post holder will be a clinical expert and will be regularly in charge of specific areas within the Emergency department and on occasions be in charge of the whole department in the absence of the Band 7 Senior Sister. The post holder will work closely with the senior nurse and consultant colleagues to ensure the safety and comfort for our patients. Duties may include being responsible for tasks such as off duty, managing a small group of staff, attending meetings and handling complaints, along with completion of PDRs and sickness management. It is essential you have a special interest that you would like to carry forward as a project to ensure that we are constantly improving.
